What is IMPnow?
We’re an online creative network offering a platform for artists to display their work, connect with other artists and learn from industry professionals.
Does it cost anything to use this site?
Nope. IMPnow is free for all members.
Do I have to be an “artist” to be a part of IMPnow?
No. IMPnow welcomes anyone that has a passion for the arts. Whether your passion is
something you do as a hobby or have turned into a full-time career, IMPnow welcomes artists of all mediums and experience levels.
Why should I join IMPnow as opposed to those other social networking sites?
Most social networking sites tend to focus on rekindling past connections with classmates or
co-workers; however, IMPnow takes a slightly different approach. IMPnow offers connection
building features to help artists create a larger network with other individuals within their
industry. In addition, we offer an easy to use platform allowing members to share their work
with other artists and potential clients*.

How can I become a Featured Artist?
It’s simple - by filling out your profile and uploading your work! Our staff scours the site to find
members whom best utilize IMPnow’s profile features. Judging is based on the following criteria: quality of work, members’ ratings of your work and how active you are on the site. Every quarter the five top ranked artists from each community will automatically become Featured Artists.

Account Management
What happens if I forget my password?
You may retrieve your password by going to our Password Retrieval page and entering in
your username. You may also send an email to our support department at
support@impnow.com. Please include your IMPnow username and additional information
about yourself to help us verify your identity.
Can I change my username?
No. We do not offer the option to change your username. If you choose to create a new account, please note that your old information cannot be migrated over to your new account.

Profile & Content
How do I add information to my profile?
To add information to your profile, click My Profile and locate the Add About section below your profile picture. Below this area are two links where you may add additional information such as About Me and your Interests.
To make changes to any current information, simply click the Edit link next to the pencil icon.
Which video/photo/audio formats can I upload to my profile?
IMPnow supports the following formats for media:
· Photo - .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, .bmp, .png
· Video - .mp4, .mov, .mpg, .mpeg, .wmv, .avi, .asf,
· Audio - .mp3 |
How do I upload media?
All new members will find several links to Add Video, Audio, Pictures and Writing located below
the IMPnow header. Users may upload media content in these respective areas.
There is a simple 3 step process when uploading all media content:
1 Locate the media file to upload – Browse your computer to select the files to upload.
2. Describe your media – Add titles, descriptions and tags. You also have options to set default
media content and choose whether you want to allow users the ability to comment on your work.

For members with existing content, select the media tab (Video, Audio, Pictures or Writing) that you would like to add more content to. Click the Upload More button to begin the process of locating your media on your computer and adding information to the file such as a title, description and tags.
Why can't I add more videos?
Since we’re still in beta there is currently a file size constraint for videos. Ultimately, our goal is to offer all members an unlimited amount of space for their work. However, in the mean time
all members are allotted 120MB of total video space. Featured artists receive 250MB and
Industry Experts have unlimited space. Please note that each individual video file cannot
exceed 50MB.
How do I modify my Featured Art?
By default, five of your most recently uploaded media files will be placed in the “Featured Art”
section. To modify your current featured media files, click under the “Pictures” tab where you
will find the “Make Featured” link under each thumbnail. A star and “Featured” text will be
displayed under the thumbnail once you make your selection. After five thumbnails are selected, you will not be able to select any additional files; however, you can change your featured media at any time by selecting and deselecting thumbnails.
How do I write a blog entry?
Click My Profile and locate the Add Blog link below your profile’s default picture. You may also
add a blog entry by selecting the Blog tab below the IMPnow header.
How do I add my resume to my profile?
To add your resume, click My Profile and the link to Add Resume under your profile’s default
picture. You can copy and paste your resume from a word processing program (such as Microsoft Word) however, there may be a loss of formatting which you will need to correct before saving.
What are connections?
Connections are members whom you’ve added to your network. You may search for new
connections by using keywords/tags in the search areas of the web site or by selecting the
Explore link in the top navigation. When viewing a member’s profile you may send a connections request by clicking Add To Your Connections located below the member’s default picture. Please note that clicking this link does not guarantee that a user will be added to your network. Your request will be sent to the member where he/she may choose to accept or decline it.
Why should I use tags?
Using tags (also called keywords) can help members locate your work when searching on
IMPnow. It also helps you to find artists who share your interests and can help expand your
network.
How do I manage the artwork I’ve marked as a favorite?
All artwork marked as a favorite will show up for members to see when visiting your profile.
What does the rating scale do?
Sure it’s a little ego booster, but there is an actual purpose behind the rating scale;
future contests and prizes!

How can I change my e-mail notifications?
You may edit the e-mail notifications you receive from IMPnow.com by selecting My Settings
and checking the types of notifications you’d like to receive under My Notifications & Settings.
How do I know my information on IMPnow.com is secure?
