A nationally recognized singer/songwriter/musician, Jan Smith is also a multi-platinum certified vocal coach/vocal producer. Owner of Jan Smith Studios, a state-of-the-art vocal coaching, artist development and vocal production facility in Atlanta offering services nationwide to record companies, artists, and producers. Clients include Rob Thomas & matchbox twenty, Usher, TLC, Sevendust, India Arie, Injected, Ciara, Collective Soul, Diana DeGarmo, etc., as well as multi-platinum producers Matt Serletic, Jermaine Dupri, Jam & Lewis, etc. Jan has consulted on recordings for Arista, BMG, Atlantic, Geffen, RCA, Island, SoSoDef, LaFace, Warner Bros., EMI, Sony, Motown, and Universal. She has served as the President for the Atlanta Chapter of the Recording Academy, and is currently a national Trustee. Jan continues her work as a vocal consultant and coach to national clients and produces records in her Atlanta studio with her production partner, Huston Singletary (www.smithandhuston.net). Smith most recently was asked to consult the Chinese Audio-Visual Association on the creation of awards categories for their prestigious Golden Disc Awards, and continues to work with pop singers in Beijing, China.
